I just finished working a live event playing a schizophrenia patient during interviews at a convention for a pharmaceutical company. This is not the type of thing I normally do, and honestly it was a bit out of my comfort zone. But that seemed like the perfect reason to go for it. Well, that and four days in San Antonio and a nice little paycheck sealed the deal. I did feel a wee bit guilty when attendees would come up after the interview and thank me for sharing my story or tell me they hoped I would be able to get the help I needed. But it was fun to stay in character the entire time I was in the building, even between interviews.
