I have signed with Core Talent, formerly known as Kiser Matthews Agency, for representation in the Dallas area. I am very excited and look forward to a long and mutually-rewarding relationship with Teresa and the rest of the staff at Core Talent. To contact Core Talent, please see the contact page.
Production for the feature film HAVING MY BABY continues. Due to crew turnover, equipment issues, weather, and scheduling conflicts, our wrap date of October 10th has slipped, um, just a little. With Winter upon us, we will unfortunately be shooting the remainder of our external shots in the spring. But it's been fun. Here is a brief list of memorable moments... I have fallen off a cliff (a small one), slid down a hill (a large one), drank stagnant creek water (accidentally), gotten poison oak (twice), been shot (three times), been slapped, been kicked in the groin, and received numerous cuts, scrapes, and bruises. In addition to that, I have had the opportunity to do a little producing, directing, and operating of the camera, lights, and sound. Oh, yeah, and I even had to sleep on set, in the bunker, for a night. I've got scars from this one, and I love it!
I have been cast in the feature film ON THE WIRE from PNA Productions. ON THE WIRE is a realistic take on a "comic book" movie. The main character, Vincent, has no superpowers of any kind but still pursues the path of a vigilante. However, he's a regular guy with a crappy job, no money, and all kinds of personal problems. Vincent's struggle to strike a balance between his regular life and his newly acquired persona is one of the main conflicts of the story. I will be playing Frank, Vincent's best friend running for the senate. He's a charming, personable, attractive, good ol' boy. He he. No, I didn't write this... But it's amazing how dead-on it is. Now that's good casting!
I have completed filming my scenes for the short film, THE CLUTTERED MIND OF BOB WALKER from The Movie Group. This was a quick, fun, and easy shoot, and yes, I did get to wear tights and a cape. Lucky me! And, um, lucky everyone who sees the film. Not quite. Anyway, everything went smoothly and the only problem I had was keeping my fake pecs in place and my mask on straight.
I have been cast in the lead role of Blaine in the feature film HAVING MY BABY from Dilligaf Productions. The screenplay was written by Les Branson. It is being produced by Les Branson and David Dixon and directed by Tim Newkirk. Principal photography is scheduled to begin on September 15, 2006. HAVING MY BABY is an action-drama about a young agnostic law student who has a one-night-stand with an fundamentalist Christian. When she becomes pregnant and attempts to have an abortion, he kidnaps her from the abortion clinic parking lot and takes her to the mountains to force her to have the baby, as they are pursued by the FBI and the National Guard. I am very excited about this film, and I will be taking some time off other pursuits to really dig into the script and prepare for this role.
