Current project news, appearances, and occasional random musings.
I have been cast in the short film SIMULACRUM. In the distant future, mankind has migrated to another planet to escape the uninhabitable toxic wasteland that the Earth had become. After a number of years, it seems that mankind has put the new planet, Ourobus, on a path to destruction as well. A group of elite minds developed Operation Genesis. The operation entails sending Franklin Gen to Earth to research what happened to the original planet, in order to gain valuable insight for saving Ourobus from the same fate. After years of research on Earth, and even with the company of a beautiful helper android named Andrea, Frank longs to go home to Ourobus to see his family. Upon arrival at Ourobus, Frank's world is turned upside down when he discovers the world has aged 47 years, while he has remained young. Frank then learns the truth from his creator that he was biomechanically engineered to carry out Operation Genesis on the uninhabitable planet and that the family he thought he had is not his. I will be playing the lead role of Franklin Gen.
I just completed another great weekend of shooting on the short film THE PLATINUM PEACEMAKER. That should just about wrap up principle photography. I've seen some of the footage from the first shoot, and it looks amazing! Thanks to Scott, Bryant, Glenn, and the rest of the cast and crew for their talent, expertise, and professionalism. I can't wait to see the finished product!
Well, I booked a commercial for Riverwind Casino, so I'll be heading to Norman, OK, in the morning for a 2:00 wardrobe fitting. Then, I'll likely hang around until I shoot my part on Wednesday. I will be the Hemi-powered truck driver who pulls up to a red light only to be taunted and ultimately humiliated by a little old lady who is serious about winning. UPDATE! Here is a photo from the shoot!
I just finished filming the teaser for the upcoming feature film ALLY. As this is a teaser, I had only one scene to shoot, though it was nearly 5 pages long. But, Rachel and her crew got me in and out in no time. The shoot went smoothly, everyone was great, and I had a great time! Thank you, Rachel! I'm looking forward to shooting the feature, hopefully this summer!
I have been cast in ALLY a teaser for an upcoming feature to be shot this summer, written and directed by Rachel Shepherd, MFA student at the University of Texas at Arlington and graduate of the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. Ally, the consummate care-giver, is given the opportunity to escape the rut in which she lives her life by doing so, however, she just might have to turn her back on everything, and everyone, she's even known. I will be playing the role of Paul, a rich entrepreneur that offers Ally her escape.
The music video for THE BULLFIGHTER RETURNS by Phil Pritchet and The Full Band has been released. It looks really good, and I'm happy to have been a part of it. For more information, please visit the Middlin' Creative Official Web Site or the Phil Pritchett Official Web Site.
