Current project news, appearances, and occasional random musings.
The trailer for the short film FRANK'S LAST SHOT is now available online. The trailer looks great, and I'm very excited about seeing the film in it's entirety. It has been submitted to Sundance, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Good job, Andrew!
Wow! We are finally getting close on this one. We filmed most of the remaining scenes for HAVING MY BABY over the past couple of days in Poolville, TX, between Weatherford and Decatur. There is one more scene that may be shot over the next couple of weeks, but that remains to be seen. At that point, I believe we will finally be wrapped. It's been a long, hard road, but it feels good to finally be finished. Post production has already begun, and at last update, I believe about 90 minutes had been cut together. I can't wait to see the finished product!
I filmed a few more scenes for THE SIGNIFICANT OTHER yesterday. We had a new scene and a few of reshoots and pickups. And, yes, I do believe we are now entirely finished with principal photography. Woo hoo! I am very much looking forward to seeing the completed film, which looks to be finished sometime in December. The shoot went quite well, and I think we got some really good shots. I was burning up in the scarf and tuxedo jacket, but I managed to pull through! In addition, I met some really great people during shooting of the restaurant scene. It's days like this that really make a 15 hour day worth it! Good cast, good crew, good people. Thanks to everyone!
I have been booked on a commercial for Aladdin Bail Bonds. The shoot will take place in Dallas, TX on August 18.
I finished shooting my part in the film this evening and have only some voice-over work left to do. I had a great time, and I appreciate all the hard work by Avanti and Rashmi. And many thanks to Rashmi for all the wonderful food! I'm craving your cornbread at this very moment! :-)
We spent two long days shooting THE AMBUSH and got about 5 hours worth of footage! Not too bad for a 20-25 minute short. I must say that I took a heck of a beating this weekend! I was hit, knocked unconscious with the butt of a shotgun, tied to a chair, tied to a table, chloroformed, put in a headlock, dragged by my neck, kneed in the stomach, handcuffed, hung from the rafters, and burnt with a cigarette. Not necessarily in that order. Whew! Did I leave anything out? Oh, yeah, I rolled around in poison ivy, and the mosquitos feasted on my flesh. Seriously, though, I had such a great time working on this project and appreciate being given the opportunity to be a part of it. I am definitely looking forward to seeing the finished product!
