Current project news, appearances, and occasional random musings.
I have been cast in the short film THE AMBUSH by Ambush Productions. While on a camping trip, two friends - Sean and Mike - are attacked by a stranger named Erik. Erik blames Mike's father for the death of his own son and is seeking revenge by killing Mike. Sean's younger brother Billy tracks them down, eventually helping them to escape. Erik changes tactics, using Billy and Sean to lure Mike into a trap. Although Sean ultimately manages to rescue Mike, their friendship is damaged beyond repair. I will be playing the role of Mike, a slacker with a trust fund and no ambition. Shooting is scheduled to begin in early June.
This weekend, I was once again part of the 24 Hour Video Race produced by the Video Association of Dallas. What is it? The 24 Hour Video Race is a fun filmmaking competition in which teams of videomakers have 24 hours to write, shoot, edit, and score an original short film. My daughter, Autumn, also participated for the very first time. We both had a blast! In fact, she was part of two separate teams, which she continues to rub in. *sigh* Anyway, we're looking forward to the screenings at the Angelika Film Center during the upcoming week.
I have been cast in the short film THE SHORT-TERM HOLDERS written and directed by Avanti Sethi. I will be playing the role of Mikey, the step-son of Marty and sister of Stephanie - all of whom are part of a family of kidnappers. Mikey is... a bit slow. And no, you're right. This won't be much of a stretch for me! Duh. Shooting is scheduled to begin in early June.
I have been booked on a print shoot for Dickies. The shoot will take place in Dallas, TX on May 17.
I have been booked on a print shoot for the San Antonio Convention and Visitor's Bureau. The shoot will take place in San Antonio, TX on the first weekend of May. And that's about all I know, thus far.
I finished filming my scenes for THE SIGNIFICANT OTHER this past week. Wow! This was such a great project to be a part of! It always helps when the story is a good one. The cast is awesome! And the crew, although thin at times, was so wonderful to work with. Thanks to Shalene, Sandra, Charlie, Clifton, Tony, and everyone else who made this one enjoyable, despite the challenges, er, "opportunities" that inevitably crop up. Way to go, guys!
